When Led Zeppelin got their Kennedy Center Honors in 2012, the band Heart did a cover of “Stairway” in front of them. Could have been a disaster but it was so good that Robert Plant was reduced to tears. (So was I TBH.)
I find Dr John very frustrating. I would buy every album he made if they were like this video. But they aren’t.
This feels like an important and historic event and probably would be if popular music did not become dominated by market driven sample loops.
